Meet the team

Laurie Christine King (LCK)

My name is LCK and I'm a nutrition coach, educational blogger, & total badass in the health and fitness space.

I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelors in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics. My coaching specialties include women’s health, hormones, hormonal birth control, adrenal issues, and thyroid issues.

I grew up a competitive gymnast, coached CrossFit for several years, traveled the world with CrossFit Gymnastics Seminar Staff, and also competed at CrossFit Regionals in 2016.

Present day, I run my own nutrition coaching business, have guest-starred on numerous health and fitness podcasts (including Barbell Shrugged and Airborne Mind), & regularly guest-write for popular health websites, like Athlete Daily. I also put out 4-5 free educational blogs a week because I don’t want any barriers-to-entry on people feeling better and living their best life.

I've been following programming from Bryan Boorstein as I bounced back from shoulder shoulder, overtraining from competitive exercise, and transitioning off hormonal birth control.

If hormones and adrenals are compromised, high intensity exercise is likely no longer a good fit. So we've spent the 12 months testing and refining what programming should look like to let the body heal, while also maximizing aesthetics.

Bryan's programming has effectively changed my life, and I can't wait see it do the same for others.

Bryan Boorstein

Bryan has coached at the top level, the CrossFit Games, while also working with some of the world’s premier athletes, including NFL players, and WWE superstar John Cena. Bryan has extensive experience and knowledge in all realms of health and fitness.

Aside from coaching at the CrossFit Games, he has coached over 75 Crossfit Regional athletes.

In 2015, he noticed a trend in the CrossFit industry: Athletes were training excessively. The delicate balance of training and life suffered. Athletes began to feel rundown and unmotivated.

The purpose of training is to look good, feel good, improve performance, and improve quality of life. Yet we were seeing an increase in hormone issues and injuries across the board in the CrossFit space.

He began building a protocol that would allow others to train hard, see results, but also balance life and training. The Evolved Training System became Bryan's official brand in 2017.

Evolved is a unique mix of multiple different modalities, including metric-based strength work, bodybuilding style aesthetic training, a small dose of Olympic Lifting, and conditioning training based in energy systems protocols. The variety of movements, reps, and volume ensures that clients get the results they desire while also improving the quality of their life inside and outside the gym.

In 2018, the Paragon Performance Training program was born. A system that encompasses many of the Evolved base elements, with the addition of gymnastics, and some Olympic Lifting, always with a focus on QUALITY movement, as opposed to SPEED. The Paragon program also includes higher-rep exercises, and paired movement sequencing that elicits an intense muscular burn!
